The International Network for Sustainability Science (INSS) is a platform for linking academic networks to share knowledge on present status and approaches for sustainable development. The goals of INSS are to link research networks together, to provide society with a new kind of science, to educate a new generation of sustainability stakeholders, and to take the lead in social change and innovation for sustainability. IR3S is one of the founding networks of the INSS started in 2009 as the organizer of the first meeting of the International Conference on Sustainability Science (ICSS) series in February 2009, which now serves as the primary meeting series of INSS.

Events:

International Conference on Sustainability Science (ICSS)

The International Conference on Sustainability Science (ICSS) brings together the representatives of various international networks working on sustainability science to promote a deeper understanding of diverse academic approaches for sustainability. The conference series initially introduced in the “Sapporo Sustainability Declaration” at G8 University summit (Sapporo, Japan) in June 2009.
